I recently stayed at Hotel AKA Boston Common and came away with mixed feelings. The location is fantastic, right across from Boston Common and close to plenty of dining options. but I encountered a few issues that marred my experience. The staff seemed friendly at first, but I felt their service didn't always meet expectations. Overall, it has potential but requires some attention to detail.

Rooms

The Deluxe King Room was aesthetically pleasing but lacked adequate lighting, leaving me to rely on small lamps. The overall comfort was decent, but the bathroom had no anti-slip mat, which caused an unfortunate slip during my stay.
Service
5.0
While the front desk staff were initially welcoming, I found their service lacking at times. For example, waiting a long time for a simple coffee request was frustrating. I also encountered issues getting help with my luggage when no bellman was available.

The hotel's location is one of its strongest points, right next to Boston Common and within walking distance to the Freedom Trail and other attractions. I appreciated the easy access to various eateries and historical sites.
Dining

The complimentary breakfast offered a nice selection beyond the typical fare, featuring poached eggs and fresh pastries. however, I felt the pricing at the on-site restaurant was on the higher side and not always justified.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel amenities, like dry cleaning and housekeeping, were fairly standard, though I found it strange there was no computer available for printing tickets, which caused some inconvenience. but I did appreciate the welcome drink upon arrival.

I recently stayed at Hotel Nine Zero in Boston and while the location was fantastic, being just a couple of blocks from Boston Common, my overall experience fell short. The quirky charm typical of Kimpton properties was there, but unfortunately, several issues marred my stay and the service was not up to the usual standards I expect.
